Getting Started

Altas is an AI-powered intelligent browser that automates complex tasks using multi-modal AI.

Installation

  1. Download the appropriate version for your platform
  2. Install the application following platform-specific instructions
  3. Launch Altas
  4. Configure your AI provider API keys

Configuration

API Keys

Configure your AI provider API keys directly in the application UI. No need to edit configuration files.

Priority Order

User UI Configuration > Environment Variables > Default Values

Steps

  1. Open Altas Settings
  2. Navigate to API Keys section
  3. Select your AI provider
  4. Enter your API key
  5. Click Save

Supported AI Providers

DeepSeek

Models: deepseek-chat, deepseek-reasoner

Best For: Complex reasoning tasks

Get API Key: platform.deepseek.com

Qwen (Alibaba Cloud)

Models: qwen-max, qwen-plus, qwen-vl-max

Best For: Chinese language tasks

Get API Key: bailian.console.aliyun.com

Google Gemini

Models: gemini-1.5-flash, gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-1.5-pro

Best For: Multimodal tasks with vision

Get API Key: aistudio.google.com

Anthropic Claude

Models: claude-3.7-sonnet, claude-3.5-sonnet, claude-3-opus

Best For: Long-context tasks

Get API Key: console.anthropic.com

OpenRouter

Models: Multiple providers (anthropic/*, google/*, deepseek/*)

Best For: Access to multiple models with one API key

Get API Key: openrouter.ai

Automation

Altas can automate complex browser tasks using AI. Simply describe what you want to do, and the AI will execute it.

Examples

  • Scrape product information from e-commerce sites
  • Automatically fill out forms with your data
  • Monitor websites for changes and get notifications
  • Extract structured data from web pages

Scheduled Tasks

Create recurring tasks that run automatically at specified intervals.

Creating a Scheduled Task

  1. Go to Scheduled Tasks in the sidebar
  2. Click "New Task"
  3. Describe what you want to automate
  4. Set the schedule (daily, weekly, monthly)
  5. Save and enable the task

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

API Key Errors

Verify your API key is correct and has not expired. Check your API provider dashboard for usage limits.

Connection Issues

Check your internet connection and firewall settings. Some corporate networks may block AI API endpoints.

Tasks Not Running

Ensure the AI provider is properly configured and your API key has sufficient quota.
